Support Engineer Jobs – IPTV / STB – Massive Scope of newly won work

Due to a number of recent wins with some of Australia’s largest Telco companies – my client now needs 1-2 IPTV Support Engineers. My client is a leading IPTV Company with offices worldwide – they require someone who can support and troubleshoot thier leading IPTV Products for the corporate customers.

This role offers an immediate start and good market rate salary. As you will be mostly on the phone we will require god – excellent communication skills for this role.

Technical Skills

• 1-2 years experience in embedded software development – STP (set top box), mobile, IPTV, Mobile TV.
• UNIX and LINUX Shell programming skills
• Strong troubleshooting skills, both hardware and software
• Javascript
• XML
• Web services

Soft Skills

• Experience in a support role
• Good customer facing and communication skills
• Good problem solving skills
• Able to work autonomously

Desirable Skills

• Consumer Electronics
• STB/IPTV Knowledge
• MPEG/JPEG
• DVB-T
