SYSTEMS MONITORING ENGINEER – New role in great team environment

As part of a restructure they are seeking a Systems Monitoring Engineer to be responsible for the overall design, implementation and management of enterprise system monitoring, alerting and reporting.

This key role will see you undertake the expansion, integration and improvement of monitoring services, including event correlation and notification, ensuring that incidents are identified quickly and accurately at all times, as well as providing expert analysis to predict and prevent problems.

You will work closely with the Architecture, Engineering and Development teams ensuring that critical production systems consistently exceed agreed service levels for availability, capacity and performance.

To be considered for this key role your skills will include;

• Excellent background in administering enterprise system management software
• A combination of Windows, UNIX and Linux  engineering and system administration
• Thorough understanding of network and security administration, technologies, architecture and protocols
• Solid understanding of application architecture, services and protocols.
• Extensive experience in development, implementation and administration of event management technologies and processes within in a medium to large enterprise environment
• Extensive experience with availability, capacity and performance management reporting.
  Strong understanding of ITIL/ITSM methodology
