This client located in Sydney is seeking a Contract SSIS Developer to join their key MIS Team. This is a 3 month contract role and the successful contractor will be expected to perform development, unit testing and deployment.
This is a key project for this company so strong SSIS skills is a must

SQL Server DBA

This client an established and well known Australian Company are seeking a combined SQL Server and Oracle Database Administrator to join their growing team.

You will be working as part of a close knit team of 5 DBA’s and you will be responsible for database design, enhancement and maintenance of SQL Server and Oracle databases

Key aspects of the role will include;

  • Management of large scale production databases across SQL Server 2005/ 2008 and Oracle 10g, backup and recovery, troubleshooting, capacity planning and performance tuning

To be considered for this role your skills will include;

  • Strong SQL Server DBA experience in a production environment
  • Strong Oracle DBA experience in a production environment
  • Proven experience to deliver technical solutions to the business. 
  • Database back up and restores 
  • Transaction isolation levels 
  • T/ SQL development knowledge.

Key role within Information Communication and Technology Services providing project management services to a wide range of projects that are undertaken across the Division of Information Services.   Under the direction of the Services Manager, and under the direction of the project governance structure set by Project Management Office (PMO), this position will be responsible for the management of a project team in the successful delivery of the project objectives. Depending on the size and complexity of the project, this position may be required to manage multiple projects at any one time. 

Key Responsibilities:
  
Manage and lead a project team (or multiple teams) through the full life-cycle of a project/s  

 

Manage stakeholder and business owner involvement in the project, ensuring appropriate change management and communication. 

 

Manage project issues and risks in a timely manner and escalating as appropriate, to project sponsor, project board and program board. 

 

Project manage the business, functional, development, technical and change management aspects of the project ensuring that the project is completed on schedule, within agreed resources and meets agreed business requirements. 
 
 
Essential Skills & Experience:
 
Tertiary qualifications or extensive experience in project management in an information services related field. 

 

Demonstrated knowledge and skills in project management techniques, tools and methodologies, covering all phases of the project life-cycle. 

 

Proven experience in leading and managing a team of information systems professionals in the successful delivery of a major information systems/Information Technology projects to schedule and quality objectives. 

 

Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills in business analysis, systems design, business process design/re-engineering, specification and implementation of major systems. 

 

Well developed client relations skills and extensive experience in negotiating directly with clients to determine needs and resolve differences. 
    
Desirable: 
 
Project Management Institute (PMI) or Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) certification. 

Experience in a Higher Education environment.
