The Role
Due to increased demand and established relationships my client is looking to expand their respected team with a passionate and professional BI DW Consultants. You’ll have the opportunity to work on large databases and BI implementation projects for major organisations and SME’s in Melbourne.
Duties and Responsibilities
Primarily, this role will to provide expert architectural consultancy and leadership at a senior level.
This will include:
- To lead on analysis, architecture, design and development of data warehouse and business intelligence solutions
- To liaise with clients, team members, project managers and the client to deliver successful projects
- Assist in the estimating and planning of projects
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will have commercial experience architecting and implementing data warehouses and business intelligence solutions. Depending on your level you’ll be expected to have a working knowledge of enterprise level infrastructure, middleware technologies, databases and application servers.
Required Technical Skills
Suitable candidates:
- Technical experience using a Business Intelligence tool set – IBM Cognos
- You will also boast experience in Data Architecture, Modelling & Strategy and Database Performance Tuning.
- Kimball methodology / Few visualisation
- Sound Design / Dimensional modelling skills
- Demonstrable development lifecycle understanding
- Implementation experience of other leading front-end BI tools will be highly regarded

Websphere SOA Integration Consultant
Posted by: | CommentsOur client is looking for a Senior SOA Websphere Integration (EAI) Consultant / Architect to join their EAI team in Sydney. Starting ASAP – this role offers a long term project / career on a greenfields financial IT project.
Ideal candidates will have strong consulting skills, including the ability to discuss WebSphere technology and business issues across domains, as well as provide expert advice to clients across a breadth of areas, with deep understanding of the IBM Websphere Integration toolsets.
Job description:
- An Integration Solutions Architect with strong IBM Websphere integration solutions experience, including MQ and Message Broker is being sought by my International Consulting client.
- You should have experience designing and architecting enterprise level integration solutions, ideally between internet, web based solutions and back end ERP systems.
- Produce detailed technical design documentation.
- Technical point of contact for the Business Partners to resolve any issues on the physical build and delivery of the projects – being the SME on Websphere.
- Provide SOA technical leadership and SOA guidance to the development teams.
- This role calls for excellent communication skills.
Technical Skills:
- Configure and manage WebSphere through administrative objects
- WebSphere Platform Messaging (WPM) implementation
- Websphere clustering
- J2EE technologies (e.g. JDBC, JMS, JNDI, JTA, JAA, EJBs, JSP, HTTP sessions, servlets)
- XML and XLST
- IBM WebSphere MQ V6.0 features and functions
- Good understanding of messaging concepts as they relate to IBM WebSphere MQ V6.0
- WebSphere Process Server Architecture (SOA core, supporting services, and service components) desirable.
- WebSphere Platform Messaging
