IT recruiter aims to reduce job ad spend with new website
IT specialist CITI Recruitment hopes to improve customer experience and reduce its job ad spend using a revamped company website.
The main difference between the new and old websites is a Google-esque search bar that assesses whether visitors are jobseekers or clients and directs them to relevant parts of the site, managing director Steve Wilson told Shortlist.
“If a user returns to the site it remembers who they are (and if they were a client or candidate). Indeed, it even tracks them as they come in and once they leave, advertising relevant jobs to them via the advertising networks after they exit the site,” he said.
“We are also driving traffic to follow our LinkedIn and social media pages. This has resulted in a 260% increase in LinkedIn followers – we’ve nearly hit 20,000.”
The company aims to use the website to reduce job ad costs by 50% over time and garner more interest from passive candidates, Wilson said.
