Functional Tester

Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the operation and continuous improvement of Test and Quality Engineering.
- Evidence base results of both non-functional and functional testing.
- Work collaboratively to define and communicate a thorough end to end test strategy.
- Work with engineering teams to provide a quality engineering capability.
- Build and refine the appropriate test automation frameworks for functional and non-functional testing.
- Have a view on all testing and quality assurance/engineering from unit testing, through component testing, integration testing, API testing, security testing, UAT, OAT and onward to production environments.
- Contribute to initiatives that join up test and quality outcomes with a product SDLC, e.g. BDD.
- Help in the shift left of testing and test engineering.
- Assist with knowledge transfer to production support teams.
- Evaluate and balance the needs for manual and automated testing.
All About you
- Demonstrable experience as a test and quality engineering professional.
- Knowledge of all aspects of product testing – e.g. unit testing, component testing, integration testing, API testing, security testing, performance testing, UAT, OAT.
- Expertise in building test automation frameworks.
- Experience of working with agile engineering teams.
- Know how across functional and non-functional testing.
