Given their outstanding success in Business Intelligence and Data warehouse an ambitious IBM Cognos professional is required to complement their strong team. We are looking for professionals who have worked across multiple business domains and have external consulting experience using structured formal methodologies. Tier 1 or 2 consultancy experience is highly regarded. You’ll have established a foundation of professional experience and consulting skills in some of the following areas – Information Strategy, Enterprise Data Management, Business Intelligence & Data Warehousing, Collaboration & Agility, Enterprise Content Management.

You will be accountable for:

• Translating business requirements into technical reporting specifications.
• Designing, building and unit testing the Cognos BI solution to meet business requirements.
• Leading a reporting team in project delivery.
• Supporting the Technical Team Lead and Project Manager in delivering all reporting deliverables.

Required skills:

• Minimum of 2-6 years experience in Cognos BI Application Development.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in team leadership.
• Sound Application Development skills and experience.
• Evidence of the ability to complete functional and technical designs, code, unit test and documentation for ‘leading edge’ Business Intelligence and Performance Management solutions.
• Knowledge of and experience with business processes, System Development Life Cycle and best practices of quality management.
• Experience in all phases of a project lifecycle and understand the responsibilities of an Application Developer in each phase.
• Detailed understanding of Business Intelligence and Performance Management, including: Dashboards & Scorecards, Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting and Business Analytics & Reporting
• Experience with a range of tools, namely:
  Cognos – BI (mandatory)
  Cognos – FPM
• Experience in performing analysis, consulting and providing recommendations to clients.
• Ability to prepare specifications and reports, deliver oral presentations and explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.
• Ability to accurately analyse information and make sound decisions.
• Possess effective planning and problem-solving skills.
• Multi tasking attitude, equally comfortable operating from within both the technology & business environments.
• Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
