Java / Core Java Developer

 An opportunity has arisen for a Java developer to join the Electronic Trading team of this tier one Investment Bank.

Candidates are expected to have very strong core JAVA experience (including knowledge of collections, threading and performance/profiling) and have experience of working in a Test Driven environment & subsequently be able to write unit tests. The team of JAVA developers support the Electronic trading business and provide innovative Core JAVA/J2SE solutions for low touch trading, including FIX connectivity and low latency market connectivity as well as smart order routing and algorithmic trading.

 Candidates will ideally have:

• Java
• Java, JMS, Swing, XML and JAXB
• Experience in object oriented software
• Experience with FIX Protocols

This is a 6 Month contract, with the opportunity to extend. You will gain new technical skills, sitting closely with the traders, gaining market data knowledge and playing a key role in the business.
