Given their outstanding success in Business Intelligence and Data warehouse an ambitious IBM Cognos TM1 professional is required to complement their strong team. We are looking for professionals who have worked across multiple business domains and have external consulting experience using structured formal methodologies. Tier 1 or 2 consultancy experience is highly regarded. You’ll have established a foundation of professional experience and consulting skills in some of the following areas – Information Strategy, Enterprise Data Management, Business Intelligence & Data Warehousing, Collaboration & Agility, Enterprise Content Management.

Responsibilities

You’ll be a key contributor to maintaining their Information Management ‘footprint’ in terms of capability and credibility and will help to plan, scope and shape projects and programs of work. Further responsibility will include managing client portfolios, developing the relationships and the delivery of innovative solutions.

• Designing and delivering TM1 solutions for clients.
• Analysing business requirements for Cognos TM1 applications.
• Analysing accounting and financial ERP modules.
• Documenting client business requirements, and translating business requirements into technical requirements and designs.
• Designing logical and physical TM1 cubes/models, dimensional structures, business rules and in-flow and out-flow integration with external systems.
• Project Management/Team leading on TM1 projects.

In addition to delivery capability you will also be expected to be involved in the following activities:

• Designing and communicating the compelling Cognos TM1 value proposition and offering.
• Recognising very complex problems relating to clients’ business models and the business plans while analysing the situation and defining new and innovative approaches or procedures.
• Bringing strategic, long-range focus to solving client problems.
• Maintaining knowledge of competitive offerings, strategies and plans.
• Communicating proposals to customers effectively and in a compelling manner.

Required skills:

• A minimum of 2 years experience in Cognos TM1 solution delivery – latest version will be an advantage.
  Financial Management/Accounting background beneficial.
• Evidence of the ability to complete functional and technical designs, code, unit test and documentation for ‘leading edge’ solutions.
• Knowledge of and experience with business processes – SDLC and best practices of quality management.
• Experience in all phases of a project lifecycle.
• Performing analysis, consulting and providing recommendations to clients.
• Prepare specifications and reports, deliver oral presentations and explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.
• Accurately analyse information and make sound decisions.
• Possess effective planning and problem-solving skills.
• Multi tasking attitude, equally comfortable operating from within both the technology and business environments.
• Excellent inter-personal, and oral and written communication skills.
