Linux System Engineer

Exciting opportunity for a Linux Engineer to build cloud-native application. Working with a leading consulting company that is partnering with business to move them forward.
As a member the Engineering/DevOps team you will be directly responsible for the successful development and support of open source project built on the AWS cloud.
Responsibilities:
- Extensive Apache/Tomcat server administration, performance tuning and maintenance.
- Collaborate on the monitoring of all systems for security and performance.
- Implementing or supporting the implementation of new technologies for their area of the infrastructure.
- Executes to the defined product lifecycle; manages the lifecycle for a component of the infrastructure to assure operational availability; specifies changes for implementation; gathers data and analyzes capacity and performance.
Experience:
- DevOps focusing on continuous integration full lifecycle of building, automated and performance testing, and automating deployment
- Extensive experience with Linux, Unix, Windows
- AWS (Amazon Web Services)
- Experience with VM, Docker, or other container solutions
- Configuration Management tools (Ansible)
- Shell scripting, Perl, Python, Groovy, etc
- SQL, DB Release Management
- Used tracking tools (Jira, Rally)
