Due to continuous growth in Australia, our global client is looking for an enthusiastic and tech savvy Sales Engineer to join their friendly team in their Sydney office.
You will provide guidance in the use of our client’s products as they best suit the requirements of the customer and its market. You will be working closely with the sales team to coordinate product and business strategies. 

The role:
  
- Investigate & demonstrate the use of our client’s products with other 3rd party technologies.
- Manage the technical relationship with customer accounts, ensuring that they are aware of the latest product capabilities.
- Identify new opportunities within existing accounts.
- Build and demonstrate Proof of Concepts (POCs) for prospects and customers to illustrate the suitability, ease of use, performance, features, and reliability and/or connectivity capabilities of our client’s technology.
- Participate in business and detailed technical discussions at all levels and in all departments of the customer’s organisation to foster the adoption, use and deployment of our client’s products.  
- Recommend technical architecture, database schema, design patterns, migration and upgrade strategies and operational best practices.
- Support customers and prospects during beta test programmes or pre-launch activities and provide feedback to the software development groups.
  
Main requirements

- Broad knowledge of IT industry issues & trends including integration, data management, application development and cloud, with specific vertical market & technical knowledge in Integration (SOA, ESB, EAI, ETL, BI…).
- Knowledge of ESB, Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) experience using BEA Software, IBM, Oracle, Microsoft or similar.
- Extensive use of 2 or more databases such as Oracle, SQLServer, Sybase, Informix or DB2/UDB, including designing logical and physical database schema, good SQL and JDBC/ODBC expertise, installation and configuration skills, and performance tuning.
- 5 years pre-sales experience selling a complex, technical product
Hands-on, high-energy, passionate and creative problem solver with know how to get things done and ability to lead others to success.
- Excellent communicator and presenter able to gain audience confidence
Ability to build a deep understanding of an enterprise’s communications needs and guide them to a technical solution
- Previous software development experience in one or more of the following areas: backend (Java, C#, Node.js, Python, PHP)
          web development (JavaScript, HTML/CSS, frontend frameworks – React,            Vue.js, Angular)
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline
- Healthcare IT background is highly regarded
